Thomas "T K" Kowalski, 40, of Locust Ave, Amsterdam passed away unexpectedly Wednesday March 27, 2013 at his home.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 27, 1972 a son of Charles and Theresa Rutkowski Kowalski. He attended St. Stanislaus Catholic School and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School Class of 1990. Tom then graduated from SUNY Delhi with an Associates Degree in 1992.
T K was a Carpenter by trade and worked for many years for various contactors while living in Arizona moving back to Amsterdam in 2008. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam where he served as an Altar boy while in school. Tom was also a member of the P.N.A. of Amsterdam.
He enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, fishing and most of all spending time with his dear son Isaiah. Tom made many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his beloved son Isaiah Kowalski of Arizona; his loving mother, Theresa Kowalski of Amsterdam; two dear brothers, Ronald (Linda) Kowalski of Amsterdam and John M. Kowalski of Bellevue, Nebraska; his aunts and uncles, Lydia (Werner) Rutkowski of Waterbury, CT, Anne (George) Van Heusen of Scotia, NY, Charlotte (Ron) Kujawinski of Erie, PA, Jerry and Sandy Kowalski of Erie, PA, Donnie and Pauline Kowalski Erie, PA, and Robert and Karen Kowalski of CA. Several cousins and friends also survive. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Chuck" Kowalski on November 5, 2009.
He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Victoria Rutkowski and his paternal grandparents, Harry and Regina Kowalski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 9:00A.M. at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Cornell St., Amsterdam with Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
