Jean M. Raym

Mrs. Jean M. Raym, 84, of the Town of Glen, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Born on November 1, 1928 in Fultonville, New York, she was the daughter of the late Dee J. Hogan and Mabel Grosbeck Hogan.

A lifelong resident of the Town of Glen, Jean attended Fultonville schools. On January 18, 1946 she married her high school sweetheart, Glen W. Raym. Together they owned and operated Nugget Hill Farm in the Town of Glen. He predeceased her on June 27, 2012, after 66 years of marriage. They now continue their life together for all eternity. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Vernice Chandler, Betty Young and Bula Cook.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Lang and her husband Edward of Jacksonville, FL, Kathy Fonda of Amsterdam, NY and Ruth Raym of Glenville, NY; two sisters in law, Melva Raym of Canajoharie, NY and Delores Marks of Washington, Iowa; six grandchildren, James, Wendy, Mark, Keith, Madison and Zachary and six great grandchildren, Kaytlin, Tyler, Mitchel, Joshua, Alyssa and Ryleigh; nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date privately with family and friends. Interment of her remains will take place in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville. Those wishing to remember Jean are asked to donate in her name to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
