TOWN OF AMSTERDAM — Three Gloversville residents were arrested Saturday after a Walmart employee flagged down a state trooper to report larcenies at the Route 30 store.

A trooper arrested Tina Hillman, 44, Derek Hayes, 31, and Emma Rodriguez, 18, after initiating a traffic stop of the suspects’ vehicle.

Hayes and Rodriguez were charged with multiple counts of petit larceny for allegedly stealing merchandise, while both Hayes and Hillman were wanted on active arrest warrants out of Gloversville.

Hillman was turned over to the Gloversville Police Department, Rodriguez was released on tickets, and Hayes was remanded to the Montgomery County Jail. All are expected to reappear in Amsterdam town court to answer the charges.
