JOHNSTOWN -- The fifth annual Kristofer Strouse Memorial Basketball Tournament will be held April 13 and 14 at Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
The entry fee is $20 per player, and the tourmament is open to players ages 18 and older. Officials are needed for the event. All proceeds for the event benefit the Kristofer Strouse Memorial Athletic Award to be presented to graduating seniors and athletic programs.
Miseno fires 299
at Imperial Lanes
TOWN OF AMSTERDAM -- Mike Miseno came within one pin of perfection Monday night, bowling a high game of 299 to lead the day's action at Imperial Lanes.
Miseno's 299 came in the Amsterdam Men's City League, where Doug Hopkins fired Monday's high series -- a 278-769. Dave Montenaro Jr. was four pins behind with a 765 series. Chuck Rossi had the night's second-best single game of 279. Women's action was led by Karen Pasquarelli's 223-529 in the Ladies Independent league.
Earlier Monday, Stu Minch drilled a 258-743 triple to lead action in the Imperial Men's Senior League. Minch was five pins better than runner-up Mike Tartaglia.
