FONDA -- Sophomore Emily Parslow connected on a 15-footer with seven seconds remaining to give Fonda-Fultonville a stunning 55-54 victory over Watervliet in a Colonial Council girls basketball game on Thursday.
Parslow, who finished the contest with 19 points, scored nine of her game-high point total during Fonda-Fultonville's 24-14 fourth quarter run.
Cassandra Egleston finished with 13 points and five assists and Taylor Wetsky ended up with 10 points and five rebounds for the winners.
The loss was a costly one for the Cannoneers (15-2, 16-2) who lost Mikayla Deguire to a season-ending knee injury. Deguire, who finished with 12 points was injured and carried off on a stretcher in the third quarter.
Fonda-Fultonville (6-10, 8-10) plays host to Cairo-Durham today at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the Section II Class B Tournament,
