Apholz leads NC past Siena, 24-18

Zachary Apholz scored eight points to lead North Carolina past Siena, 24-18, in Amsterdam Recreation Basketball League 3-4th grade boys playoff action Tuesday night.

Lorezno Bottisti and Kyle Bottisti added six points apiece for North Carolina, while Anthony DeRosa and Christian Bottisti chipped in two points apiece. Brady Naish, Derek Carella and Matthew Sawitzki led the charge on defense.

Siena got nine points from Jesus Rivera, eight points from C.J. Durinick and one point from Andy Welsch to go along with strong defensive efforts from Luca Quatrini, Sal Conti and Andrew Spagnola.
