Elsie Agnew

Elsie Agnew, 84, a resident of Hudson, NY since 1948, went to sleep on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY. She recently was a resident of the E. L. Wilkinson Facility in Amsterdam, NY.

She has gone to see her parents L.T. and Lucille Agnew, sisters Fala Mae Brown, Viola Bethea and Barbara Elam and sons Donny Alexander and Benjamin Albea.

Elsie has left to morn her passing her sisters, Louise Hughes of Columbus, GA and Joyce Horsley of Charlotte, N.C.; her children, Vicky (James) Hughes of Amsterdam, Stacey Albea of Waterford, NY, Tobie Ann (Junie) Clanton of Hudson, NY. and Joyce Albea of Palatine Bridge, NY; cherished grandchildren, James of Virginia and Tremayne of Albany, NY. Tony, Quann and Howard all of Hudson, NY, and Andrew of Amsterdam; eight great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family would like to thank the E.L. Wilkinson staff for their long time care of their beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 1:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Pastor William L. Hamilton of the Friendship Baptist Church in Schenectady, NY presiding.

Cremation will take place at Vale Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady, NY.
