Edna Agnes Young

Edna Agnes Young, 85, of Zanesvillle, passed away at 1:40 pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Willow Haven Care Center.

She was born November 5, 1927 in Amsterdam, New York the daughter of the late Stephen and Caroline Stremil Gegzno.

Mrs. Young was of the Catholic Faith and a former member of the Moose Club of Amsterdam, she was referred to as "Goodtime Aggie," grew up in an orphanage and was a hardworking free spirit all of her life.

She is survived by daughters Julia(Anthony) Merritt of Amsterdam, New York, Leah Young of Whitesville, North Carolina, and Caroline Young of Amsterdam, New York, sister Sophia Taylor of Zanesville, half brother Edward Gegzno, grandchildren Alicia Staley, Edward King and Eric Young, great granddaughter Kaydence Staley.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Edward Lewis Young who passed away February 1971, son Edward Young who passed away February 1986 and infant sister.

No calling hours will be observed and services and interment will be held in Amsterdam, New York.
