Queensbury tops B-P

BROADALBIN -- Queensbury went on a 15-7 fourth quarter run en route to a 50-43 victory over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council boys basketball game on Thursday night.

Queensbury's Charles Peltz scored a game-high 24 points, including 12-of-19 attempts from the free throw line. Queensbury (5-5, 5-7) finished hitting 24-of-38 attempts from the free throw line while B-P (3-5, 5-8) connected on 9-of-15 shots from the charity stripe.

Ben Bellandi scored 14 points and Andre Taylor added 10 points to lead B-P.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Fulton-Montgomery Community College 69

Hudson Valley Community College 65

Qwatee Willams connected on a 3-pointer with 10.8 seconds left to help Fulton-Montgomery Community College to a come-from-behind victory over Hudson Valley Community College.

Aaron Morton poured in 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Tyshawn Dinkins added nine points to lead Fulton-Montgomery Community College.

Jeremy Taylor scored 18 points to lead HVCC.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Fulton-Montgomery Community College 78,

Hudson Valley Community College 48

Kassandra Flowers tallied 21 points and 10 assists to lead Fulton-Montgomery Community College to a convincing win over Hudson Valley Community College.

Ashley Creighton scored 18 points to lead HVCC.

BOWLING

Western Athletic Conference

Canajoharie 4, Schoharie 0

Travis Colgrove rolled a 210-603 and Mike Bowman added a 235-567 to lead Canajoharie to an easy win over Schoharie.

Canajoharie outshot Schoharie 2,687-2,181 to improve to 54-2 on the season.

Bailey Pitonza contributed to the win with a 210-557.

Perry Lawyer finished with a 234-564 to lead Schoharie.
