Barbara L. Tidd, 78, passed away peacefully at Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility on January 23, 2013.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a life-long area resident.

Born on March 26, 1934 in Schenevus, N.Y. to the late Howard and Mabel A. Snyder Vroman.

Barbara was a bus driver for Galway School District for 21 years. She had the title from many of being their "favorite bus driver" even after retiring.

She married Lewis D. Tidd on July 31, 1972.

In her later years, Multiple Sclerosis made it necessary for her to reside in a nursing home. The Wilkinson Center, in time, truly became her home and the staff that cared for her became her extended family. Barbara's family greatly appreciates the love, kindness, and compassion of all of those who cared for her.

Survivors include her son; William B. Rogers Jr. (Debbi), daughters; Cretta D. Burchard (Don), and Loretta L. Valenta (Tim), brother; James H Vroman (Helen). Thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

Barbara was preceded in death by her two sons, Mark F. Rogers and Richard V. Rogers, husband Lewis, her parents, and two brothers; Howard F. Vroman, and Orville J. Vroman.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home in Amsterdam, N.Y., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, N.Y., 12010. Barbara will be laid to rest with her husband at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y.
