Marjorie Keown

Marjorie Keown, 88 formerly of the Sanford Home for Women, Amsterdam, NY died Wednesday afternoon at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential health Care Facility.

Born in Amsterdam on February 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Topley Keown.

She was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School Class of 1942 with high honors. Early in her life she was employed by the General Electric Company in Schenectady.

Marjorie was predeceased also by her brother Joseph and sister Norine Keown.

She is survived by her cousin Ileen Marks and her husband Wilfred and son Bill.

The funeral will take place Monday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave with Fr. Neal Longe rector of St. Ann's Episcopal Church officiating.

Spring interment will take place in Green Hill Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
