Parslow sparks Lady Braves past AA

FONDA -- Behind a big night from Emily Parslow, the Fonda-Fultonville Lady Braves used a 10-point advantage in Tuesday's fourth quarter to pull away for a 57-45 victory against Albany Academy in a Colonial Council girls basketball game.

Parslow, a sophomore, scored 28 points to lead F-F to the victory. Also for F-F, Taylor Wetsky produced 11 points and seven rebounds, while Emily Frollo added nine points and eight rebounds.

Albany Academy (3-7, 2-7) had a slim lead after one quarter, but F-F (4-7, 3-7) had taken the lead in the game by halftime. For Albany Academy, Cassia Gravesande had 19 points, while Anna Bryce and Emily Padalino each added eight.

Big 10

Catholic Central 59, Amsterdam 24

Madison Purcell had 16 points and Alliyah Gillespie added 14 for the Lady Crusaders, who turned a slim lead after one quarter into a rout.

Catholic Central (8-3, 6-2) led Amsterdam (5-6, 2-5) by a basket after the first stanza, but outscored the Lady Rams 35-10 in the game's middle quarters to blow the contest open.

Sarah Fedullo and Arianna Ramirez-Johnson each scored five points for Amsterdam.


Foothills Council

Gloversville 51, Broadalbin-Perth 44

Gloversville used 16 points from Asa Barnhill and a big fourth quarter to push past the Patriots.

The Dragons (5-4, 4-3) outscored B-P (4-6, 2-4) in the final quarter by nine points to pull off the come-from-behind victory in a game in which the Patriots led by five after one quarter.

Ben Bellandi scored 15 points for B-P, which also received 10 from Chris Natoli.

Western Athletic Conference

St. Johnsville 55, Northville 53

In a nip-and-tuck affair throughout, Alex Hart led the Saints to the victory

Hart scored a game-high 21 points and Johnny Vicciarelli added 17 points for the Saints (5-5, 4-4).

Brad VanNostrand scored 17 points for Northville (6-6, 3-5), while Tim Monette had 14 and Nick Jonas added 12 -- all on 3-pointers.


Foothills Council

Hudson Falls 4, Broadalbin-Perth 0

Brandon Boyer rolled a 279-734 and Ethan Kelsey added a 280-705 to lead Hudson Falls to a win over Broadalbin-Perth.

Hudson Falls outshot B-P 3,775-3,094.

Chris Smith had a 214-603 and Matt Frish added a 227-538 to lead B-P.
