TOWN OF AMSTERDAM -- On Thursday, Alpin Haus on Route 30, was robbed of close to $1,000 worth of UGG and Northface merchandise, according to Montgomery County Sheriff's Department Inv. Robert Gracia.

Gracia said two women entered the store and took the items, causing the security alarms to activate at around 4 p.m.

The report also stated that an individual from a neighboring business saw the two women jump into a black car occupied by two other females and then drive away.

"It happens every now and then in retail," store owner Andy Heck said.

The store surveillance cameras reportedly videotaped the women committing the crime. Heck said that between reviewing the tapes and checking inventory they concluded which merchandise was stolen.

Heck posted a photo of the two women on Facebook (www.facebook.com/AlpinHaus) and is offering a $200 reward to friends who can identify and turn in the suspects.

Since posting the picture on Facebook, the store has received a few leads regarding the two women. Heck said he will turn the information over to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office to further investigate the crime.
