An Amsterdam man was arrested Tuesday following an ongoing investigation into the sale of controlled substances in the city, according to the Amsterdam Police Department.
Justin M. Rymaruk, 31, of 25 McClellan Ave., was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Deputy Chief Victor Hugo said Rymaruk allegedly sold cocaine in the city, according to police.
He was arrested on a warrant signed by Amsterdam City Court Judge Lisa Lorman.
Rymaruk was held pending arraignment in city court.
The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and Montgomery County District Attorney Kelli McCoski assisted the Amsterdam Police Department with the investigation.
