Amy Peru, 21, of 1005 Stanley St., second floor, Schenectady, was charged Wednesday, Dec. 28, with third-degree criminal aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, .08 percent or greater blood alcohol content and DWI common law.
Deputies received a call reporting a single car accident with entrapment on Old Trail Road in the town of Mohawk. Emergency management services and the Mohawk Fire Department responded and Peru was removed from the car. Deputies said she declined medical treatment or transport. After speaking with Peru, deputies determined that she had been drinking and conducted a field sobriety test. Deputies said a record check indicated Peru had a suspended license. She was processed at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and released. Deputies said Peru is expected in Mohawk Town Court at a later date.
Keshia Walendziak, 26, of 11 Willard St., Amsterdam, was charged Wednesday, Dec. 28, with petit larceny. Deputies said Lowes Loss Prevention investigators determined Walendziak was the employee responsible for a cash shortage. She was ticketed and is expected in Amsterdam Town Court on a later date.
