Mrs. Pauline Kneaskern, 94, formerly of Clyde Street, Fort Plain, N.Y. died Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Palatine Nursing Home.

Born on Nov. 4, 1922 in Sharon Springs, N.Y., she was the daughter of Maynard Mereness and Freida Baker Mereness. She attended Sharon Springs School.

Mrs. Davis worked for Davis’ Bike Shop as well as Beech-Nut for 14 years.

She enjoyed painting, sewing, bowling, and camping.

In 1969 she was married to Arthur Davis.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2015.  Her daughter Patricia Hendrickson and grandson, John Clinton also predeceased her.

Mrs. Davis is survived by a son, William C. Kneaskern and his wife Sherry of Summerfield, Fla.; two step-sons, Lon and his wife Gabby Davis of Florida, and Larry Davis of Albany, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jason Kneaskern, Beth Clinton, Michael Clinton; and two great-granddaughters.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Fort Plain Cemetery with the Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating.
