Bruce Wayne Bialobok, 45, peacefully passed away after a courageous 12 year battle with cancer on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice.

He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10504 at Our Lady of Mercy. He also performed duties as youth director for the council and captained the council softball team.

Bruce was an avid baseball fan. He loved the New York Yankees and especially loved watching his son, Robert, play baseball. He was a volunteer coach at Southwest Forsyth Little League and was a member of the Ronald W. Reagan High School athletic booster club.

Bruce worked as a paralegal with Womble Carlyle Sandridge and Rice Law firm, and for the last four years was a teaching assistant at Lewisville Elementary School.

Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Alison Reidy-Bialobok, and his son, Robert Reidy-Bialobok. Also surviving are his parents, Vincent and Linda Bialobok of Hagaman, N.Y.; two brothers Paul Bialobok (Amy), and Jeffery Bialobok (Christine); three sisters-in-law, Renee Bramer (Darrell), Laura Perry (Michael), and Deidre Purcell (Timothy); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Dr. Summer, Dr. Lesser, Dr. Tatter, Annette, Alisha, Candice, Michele, and staff at the Cancer Center, as well as Keith and the staff at Lewisville Drug for their unwavering love and dedication during this journey. The family would like to thank the staff at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice for their care this past week.  The family also gives heartfelt thanks to the special friends who have been with us by our side.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4820 Kinnamon Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. A bereavement reception will immediately follow.
