Water shutdown today

The City of Amsterdam/Eric Pareene Contracting announces that due to a water repair on River Street there will be a water shutdown today from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., or until complete.

Streets with no water will be River Street from Bridge to Minaville streets and Minaville Street from River to Erie streets.

Residents within the surrounding areas may also experience low water pressure or dirty water during this time.

Bus trip to Mets game

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin Youth Commission is planning a trip to Citifield to watch the Mets play the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, July 20. Seats are at field level in section 139 and cost $90 each. The chartered bus (Brown’s) will leave at 6:15 a.m., July 20, from the Amsterdam Thruway Exit 27 Park and Ride.

You do not need to be a member of the BYC to participate in this trip!

Alumni association to hold annual meeting

FONDA — The Fultonville High School Alumni Assoc. will have it’s 66th annual meeting on Saturday, July 29, starting at 4 p.m. at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant, Main Street, Fonda. A family style dinner will be served at a cost of $20. per person.  Reservations may be made by sending Barbara Lampkin, P.O.Box 18, Fort Hunter, NY 12069, a check made out to the alumni assoc.
