Gloversville — The Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Constant Contact, will hold a series of Social Media and Online Marketing seminars in March, April and May. Business people can take these seminars for $5 per seminar for chamber members and their employees, and $20 per person per seminar for future members. Seminars descriptions are as follows:

• Grow Your Business with Email and Social Media: Marketing Strategies for Small Business — Wednesday, March 22, 8 to 9:30 a.m., chamber’s Gloversville office, 2 N. Main St.

This workshop is designed to give small businesses and nonprofit organizations some simple ideas for growing organizations using email and social media.

Topics to be covered include what to write about, how to get more people to stop and read messages and how to get more action, or reaction, to messages and offers. The workshop will discuss what it means to run a campaign and tactics for measuring success without spending a lot of time or money.

Participants will leave with a workbook full of ideas for timing their messages, how to write a winning subject line, what kinds of offers or content they want to try and how best to approach their next outreach project.

This class is best suited for beginners in online marketing. It will touch on Facebook, using images for higher impact and will cover the importance of mobile-friendly content for higher engagement. This is a great class for beginners and smaller organizations looking to accomplish more in less time and with a small budget.

• Social Media 102: Your Social, Now What? — Wednesday, April 26, 8 a.m., chamber’s Amsterdam office, 1166 Riverfront Center.

This seminar will give a closer look at the popular social media networks — Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+. The class will show the benefits of using each, how other organizations are marketing with them, and some dos and don’ts of each channel. Participants will get tips on how to tell if social media activity is working. This session is best suited for beginners who have begun to use social media for business, but are ready to go further.

• Find Time to Save Time: Advanced Social Media Tips and Tricks — Wednesday, May 24,  8 a.m., chamber’s Gloversville office.

In this seminar, participants will look at an advanced social strategy that will help save time on social media marketing. This seminar will cover:

Curating content; social media management tools; creating content at events; what apps can help; the art of not over-thinking; next steps.

Each seminar will be presented by Erik Bunaes, the Constant Contact authorized local expert serving upstate New York, one of the top performing Constant Contact partners in the United States.     Bunaes has more than 25 years of experience in corporate, entrepreneurial and consulting roles.
