Paris graduates from
Binghamton University

BINGHAMTON — Binghamton University conferred nearly 3,700 degrees for bachelor’s, masters and doctoral candidates at the May 21 Commencement ceremonies. Approximately 3,000 of the degrees awarded were baccalaureate degrees.

Kelly N. Paris, of Amsterdam graduated from the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. In addition, Paris was selected for the inclusion to the dean’s lit for academic achievement.

Lunkeheimer completes
residency at Univ. of New Mexico

Alburquerque, N.M. — Jared R. Lunkenheimer, MD, the son of H. Gary and Sandra L. Lunkenheimer, formerly of Gloversville, completed his appointment as resident in Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Thirteen new family physicians were recognized at the residency program’s graduation on June 24 at the Alburqueque Museum of Art and History. Lunkenheimer also served as chief resident with the program. He will begin work this July as general medical officer for the Indian Health Service at Whiteriver Indian Hospital, on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, Ariz.

Local student named to Russell Sage College Dean’s List

TROY —Deborah A. Lawrence, dean of the college, announced that Brianna Westfall, of Broadalbin, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.
