Richard Edward Czelusniak, age 70, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his home in Chilhowie, Virginia.
Mr. Czelusniak was born in Amsterdam, NY to the late Joseph and Josephine Czelusniak and was preceded in death by a sister Clara Kolacki and a brother Edward Czelusniak.
He was a graduate of the Devry Institute in Chicago with a degree in computer engineering. He worked at Sperry in Bristol and had worked at Unisys in Mission Viejo, CA for 41 years.
He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Amsterdam, NY and attended St. John's Catholic Church in Marion.
Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth P. Czelusniak; son, Jason B. Czelusniak, Wytheville, VA; daughter, Elizabeth Young, Orange County, CA; sister, Mary Ann Celmer, Dillon, SC; grandchildren, Steven and Nolan Young, Orange County, CA; sister in law; Nancy Czelusniak; special sister and brother in law; Mary and Harold Hawkins; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the St. John's Catholic Church in Marion with Father Burt Sare officiating.
Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations can be made to St. John's Catholic Church 124 Park Blvd. Marion, VA.
