Adirondack woman charged with murder
SARANAC LAKE (AP) -- A 29-year-old woman faces a second-degree murder charge after police found a 65-year-old man beaten and stabbed to death inside a Saranac Lake apartment building. Angela Ball was arrested Monday. Franklin County District Attorney Derek Champagne tells local media outlets that village police found Ward Guy Wilbur dead shortly after 11 a.m., and Ball was still at the scene. Champagne said neither Ball nor Wilbur were tenants of the building where Wilbur was killed. He said the connection between the two, and the motive for the attack, were unclear.
