Schenectady volleyball sweeps Amsterdam

Katie Young tallied 13 service points and 13 assists and Tara Riley added eight kills to lift Schenectady to a 3-0 victory over Amsterdam in a Big 10 girls volleyball match on Thursday.

Schenectady won by scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Bayley Archinal compiled 10 kills, three blocks and one assist, Katie Ressel had eight assists, three aces and one kill and Jordyn Kelly finished with three aces and one kills to lead Amsterdam.

COLONIAL COUNCIL

Fonda-Fultonville 3, Lansingburgh 0

Kerrigan McCaslin had 15 service points and Cory Lais chipped in with 13 service points, including seven aces to propel Fonda-Fultonville to a victory over Lansingburgh.

F-F (7-4, 8-5) won by scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-17.

Miranda Nethaway contributed to the win with three kills and two blocks and Emilia Brzyzowski had two kills.

Colonial Council

Lansingburgh 4, Fonda-Fultonville 0

Lansingburgh scored three second-half goals en route to a win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Brandon Bombard, Dakota Franklin and Chris Lance each scored a second-half goal for the winners.

Parker Bristol needed to make just five saves to earn the shutout for Lansingburgh.

Tyler Folmsbee had 13 saves in the net for Fonda-Fultonville.

Broadalbin-Perth 3, Scotia-Glenville 2

Katie Herba scored all three goals to help Broadalbin-Perth post a win over Scotia-Glenville.

Victoria Marotta and Conner Rebis each dished out an assist for the winners.

Rachel Orapello stopped two shots in the net for B-P.

Rachael Cox and Grace Marola each scored for Scotia-Glenville.
