Mrs. Anna Z. Pilecki, 84, of Powerhouse Road, Amsterdam, New York passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Mary's Healthcare.
She was born July 10, 1929 in Poland a daughter of the late Martin and Eva Zoldak. She was educated in Poland and worked in hospitals providing nursing care before coming to the United States in 1962.
Mrs. Pilecki was a Homemaker and worked on the family dairy farm for many years before retiring.
Anna was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and its Ladies Rosary Society.
She was married to Gregory "George" Pilecki on May 25, 1963. He died November 1, 2002.She was also predeceased by a brother Josef Zoldak.
She is survived by her son William M. Pilecki and his fiancee Lynn Raczynski, Amsterdam; sisters Katherine Michalik, Josephine Fudali and Bronislaw Stec all of New Jersey, Maria Potocki and Jadwiga Labuda both of Poland; nieces Bernice Zoldak, Amsterdam and Theresa Sobkowicz, Perth; nephews Julian and Piotr Zoldak both of Amsterdam, John Zoldak & family, Ted Zoldak & family and John Potocki and family all of New Jersey; best friends Alina and Eugene Kochanowski of Poland.
The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, New York followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church with Rev. O. Robert De Martinis, Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rosary Society service at 4:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church or to St. Mary's Healthcare C/O the funeral home.
