Vito J. DiSalvi entered into God's loving arms July 15, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary T. DiSalvi.
Vito was a lifelong Amsterdam resident.
He is survived by four children, Michael and Victor DiSalvi Amsterdam, Karen DiSalvi Dolgeville; and Elaina (Alan) Lambkin of Shrewsbury MA; three grandchildren, Andrew and Gabrielle DiSalvi, Amsterdam and Shay Lambkin Shrewsbury MA; two sisters Lucia Diovisalvi, Albany; Anne Marie Cox, Schenectady; predeceased by a brother, Patrick Leonetti Amsterdam.
Vito worked for many years in the GASD as a custodian. Upon retiring he continued to work many part time jobs; he always needed to be busy.
Vito is known for charity to others, his willingness to help in any situation, and last but not least his jokes.
Vito made an anatomical gift of his body A.M.C.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam on Tuesday July 23, 2013 at 10:00 am for all that may wish to attend. He will be greatly missed.
