Dale A. Pikul, 55, of Saratoga Springs passed away peacefully at the Wesley Health Care Center on February 19, 2013.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 27, 1957 she was the daughter of Raymond R. Pikul and the late Norma A. Nadler Pikul.
Dale was raised in the town of Galway and attended also attended Galway schools. After high school, Dale worked at Breton Industries in Amsterdam. In her early twenties she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Due to her ill health she was forced to resign from her job.
Dale was strong willed and lived in her apartment for as long as she could until her medical needs were too immense to remain in her own home. She moved into the Wesley Health Care Center and has resided there for the last 19 years.
Dale had a great sense of humor and very considerate towards others. She enjoyed the outdoors and sports such as basketball, softball and volley ball. She also loved football, her favorite team was the NY Giants.
Her loving family includes her father, Raymond R. Pikul of Amsterdam, brother Douglas J. Pikul (Maureen) of Edinburg, aunts, Jean Bornt, Henrietta Powell, uncles Theodore Nadler and Frances Nadler. She is also survived by two nieces, a nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service for Dale that will take place on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave. Amsterdam NY 12010.
Burial will take place following the service at the Hagaman Cemetery.
