Lorenzo Bottisti scored 12 points and Kyle Bottisti chipped in 10 points of his own as the North Carolina Tar Heels topped the Ohio State Buckeyes, 31-24, in 3-4th grade boys division action to lead this week's slate in the Amsterdam Recreation Basketball League.
Anthony DeRosa added five points, Brady Naish and Christian Bottisti scored two points apiece and the trio of Matthew Sawitzki, Vincent Bottisti and Derek Carella led the defensive effort for North Carolina
Zack Fallen had a game-high 14 points for Ohio State, while Paris Banks scored six, James Shatas scored four and Logan Palmer, Noah Doesburg and James Olmo contributed solid defensive play.
North Carolina 35, Siena 27
Anthony DeRosa's 15 points and Lorenzo Bottisti's 14 points paced North Carolina to victory.
North Carolina also got four points from Kyle Bottisti, two points from Marco Bottisti and strong defensive efforts from Derek Carella, Vincent Bottisti and Brady Naish.
Siena was led by nine points from C.J. Durinick. Jesus Rivera added eight points, Ryan Welsch and Andrew Welsch each scored four points and Luca Quatrini chipped in two points, while Andrew Spagnola, Preston Schwartz and Jordan Carella were defensive standouts.

Yandeel Vasquez and Trayvon Joyner scored 11 and 10 points apiece for Oregon, Josiah Newborn added four points, and Jayden Leo and Xavier Osvaldo each scored two. Jason Gonzalez, Jacob Nasadowski and Austin Meyers were the defesive stars.
6-8TH GRADE GIRLS
Connecticut 52, Kentucky 35
Michaela Heyer scored 17 points to power Connecticut past Kentucky.
Lauryn Tessiero and Emma Patrei scored 12 points apiece for the Huskies, while Alexis Slover scored seven and Brianna Rivas chipped in four.
Lucia Liverio poured in 23 points for Kentucky, Taylor Lanza scored three, Hailee Alicea, Kiara Alicea, Kianna Mercado and Madison Carmona scored two points apiece and Reagan Schwartz chipped in a point.
Connecticut 48, Kentucky 19
Gianna DeRosa's 16 points helped the Huskies topple Kentucky.
Lauryn Tessiero and Alexis Slover added 10 points apiece for UConn, which also got six points each from Emma Patrei and Brianna Rivas.
Lucia Liverio led Kentucky with nine points and Hailee Alicea scored five, whie Kiara Alicea and Madison Lanza each scored two.
Connecticut 38, Syracuse 23
Emma Patrei's 18 points helped UConn start its three-game win streak with a win over Syracuse.
Michaela Heyer added six points for Connecticut, while Alexis Slover, Lauryn Tessiero and Gianna DeRosa all scored four points and Marina Rivas pitched in with two points.
Victoria Barone-Lopez led Syracuse win five points. Natalie Fernandez added five, Ayana Cintron scored four, Simone Hunt scored three and Lily Orengo scored two to round out the scoring column.
